Preity took to X to express her frustration, writing, “This is a morphed image and fake news. I’m shocked that even news channels are using edited pictures as real”. She also reposted a regional news link that showed the same fake image, clearly calling it out as false.
Fans flooded the comment section, supporting Preity and criticizing the media for not verifying facts. With Punjab Kings performing well in IPL 2025, Preity has been in the spotlight, but this incident has raised concerns about media responsibility.
