After an eight year break from acting, Preity Zinta has opened up about her emotional return to films with Batwara 1947.
She revealed that she was much nervous on her first day because director Rajkumar Santoshi asked her to perform one of the movie’s toughest scenes for sure.
Preity said Sunny Deol supported and encouraged her throughout the shoot helping her regain confidence. She also openly shared that she never missed acting during her break as she was enjoying family life and raising her children.
According to Preity motherhood helped her connect deeply with her character in the film. Batwara 1947 also stars Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh.
The film features music by AR Rahman and is scheduled to release in theatres on August 14th without fail.
