After Punjab Kings lost the IPL 2025 final to Royal Challengers Bengaluru team co-owner Preity Zinta shared an emotional message on Insta.
She praised captain Shreyas Iyer for his strong leadership and appreciated the team’s courage and fighting spirit throughout the tournament.
Preity called their journey ‘spectacular’ and promised they would return even stronger next year, saying, ‘The job is still half done’.
She mentioned how the team overcame many challenges, injuries, players leaving for national duty, venue changes, and even stadium evacuations, but still topped the points table after a decade. She also praised the uncapped Indian players who impressed this season.
Preity ended by thanking all the players, support staff, and especially the fans, the “Sher Squad”, for standing by the team. She said the fans are the reason for their success and promised to come back and finish what they started next season.
