Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Seenu’s much-awaited movie, Akhanda is all set to hit the screens on December 2nd. As Akhanda is the first big-ticket movie releasing after the Covid second wave, industry sources and trade circles pinned a lot of hopes on it.
Meanwhile, the latest we hear from our sources is that the pre-release business for the film is closed for Rs 53 crore. Reportedly, for Nizam and Ceded areas, Akhanda has been sold for 10.5 crore and 10.6 crore respectively.
Coming to the Andhra region, for Uttarandhra the movie is sold for 6 crore, East Godavari and West Godavari rights are snapped for 4 crore and 3.5 crore respectively. For Guntur, Krishna and Nellore, the movie is sold for 5.4 crore, 3.7 crore and 1.8 crore respectively. Overall, the theatrical business for Akhanda for the twin Telugu states is closed for Rs 45.5 crore. Reports suggest that the film was sold of Rs 5 crore for Karnataka and rest of India and overseas for Rs 2.5 crore taking the grand total of pre-release business to Rs 53 crore. For the film to emerge as a hit at the box office, it should collect more than 54 crore.
Being bankrolled by Miryala Ravinder Reddy, Akhanda has Balayya in the dual role. Pragya Jaiswal is the female lead and has Srikanth in the antagonist role. Thaman is the music composer for this actioner.
