This Sankranthi season is witnessing a clash between five movie releases, creating a bit of a tussle in the industry. Among these films are ‘Guntur Kaaram‘, ‘Naa Saami Ranga‘, ‘Saindhav , Eagle‘, and ‘HanuMan’. Reports suggest that influential producers are urging ‘HanuMan’ to step aside from this crowded release window.
Dil Raju, a prominent figure in the industry, advised all producers to avoid such clashes, particularly mentioning ‘HanuMan’. He disclosed that he even spoke to ‘HanuMan’ director Prashanth Varma, suggesting he consider moving the release date but left the final decision to Varma.
Responding to this pressure, Prashanth Varma, the director of ‘HanuMan’, acknowledged the attempts to push their film out of the Sankranthi race. However, he emphasized that ‘HanuMan’ was the first to announce its Sankranthi release and stood firm on their chosen date.
Varma expressed confidence in the movie’s strength, metaphorically stating that a bicycle might withstand the impact of a car. Despite the pressure, ‘HanuMan’ has the support of Mythri Movie Makers for its Nizam release. As the clash continues, it remains uncertain which among the five movies will emerge victorious in this competitive season.
