Director Prasanth Varma achieved major success with Hanu-Man. Before its release, he faced budget-related allegations, but the film’s blockbuster success brought him fame and praise.
After that, he announced multiple projects and reportedly took large advances from several producers while investing heavily in a new office.
However, problems soon followed. The producers of Hanu-Man and Devaki Nandana Vasudeva complained to the Film Chamber about his unprofessional behaviour.
Though Prasanth had promised a film to Hanu-Man producer Niranjan Reddy, the project shifted after the movie’s success. He also backed out of directing Devaki Nandana Vasudeva.
His planned films with Ranveer Singh and Nandamuri Mokshagna were shelved, leaving producer Sudhakar Cherukuri in financial trouble. With several producers waiting for his response, Prasanth is now facing criticism. In cinema, success matters, but so do trust and professionalism.
