Prakash Raj has now landed in controversy after his recent comments on the Ramayana and religious issues in India.
In a chat he said Lord Ram was from North India and Ravana was a tribal king from South India and also claimed their conflict started over fruit theft.
His statements very much quickly went viral and received strong backlash on social media. Reports suggest that a police complaint has also been filed against him.
He further made another controversial remark about religious harmony saying minorities and tribal communities are being targeted.
While he is known for openly criticizing political ideologies his recent comments on religion have sparked wide spread criticism and legal trouble.
