While there has not been any official announcement yet, it is definite that Prabhas would be teaming up with director Maruthi for a film, which is a horror comedy. The shooting of the film was supposed to have begun in May but got delayed due to Prabhas’s knee surgery and other reasons. Maruthi has been utilizing this time to work on the script.
It was expected that the shoot would begin in June or July, but it is now being said that the film has been further postponed and that the shoot would only begin after Dasara. In the meantime, Prabhas is expected to wrap up shooting for Salaar, the shooting of which has already been completed by 40%. The film is directed by Prashant Neel, with Shruti Haasan playing the leading lady. With the film being delayed multiple times, and Maruthi continuing to work on the script, it is being said that Prabhas is not satisfied with the director’s narration and script, which is the real reason for the film to get delayed.
On the other hand, Malavika Mohanan, Raashi Khanna, and Sree Leela are being considered as the leading ladies for Maruthi’s film with Prabhas. Even Anushka’s name was heard in between, and it is now to be seen who will be finalized in the end.
