Prabhas Big Projects, A Blessing or a Burden?

Following the Adipurush flop, Prabhas is set to collaborate with producer Bhushan Kumar once again for the movie Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Bhushan Kumar recently unveiled that Prabhas will be portraying the role of a formidable cop in the film, with shooting scheduled to commence in June 2024.

Currently, Prabhas’ Salaar remains without a release date, causing scheduling conflicts with other projects. Details regarding the release of his futuristic sci-fi action drama, Kalki 2898 AD, remain uncertain, as the production team focuses on realizing their creative vision.

Additionally, Prabhas is involved in a secretive project helmed by Maruthi, with limited official information available. While reports suggest Prabhas may take on the role of Lord Shiva in Manchu Vishnu’s mythological epic, Kannappa, the lack of official announcements adds to the mystery. With Spirit slated for production in the coming year and the potential for a Salaar sequel, Prabhas’ project list continues to grow, each with substantial budgets and prolonged timelines.

Despite strong openings, Prabhas’ films have struggled to achieve break-even success since Baahubali 2. Fans have expressed concerns about his recent on-screen appearance, contributing to diluted anticipation for his major projects. Some argue that Prabhas should consider a more measured approach to project selection, completing one before committing to the next.
