Posani Krishna Murali is known for being very bold and eccentric in his comments against anything that he chooses to react on. He won Nandi Award for being the best supporting actor but still he criticised the system of choosing awards as he found words of Nara Lokesh too harsh. He disowned his award and asked Government to come up with IVRS system to give away awards.
Posani Krishna Murali said, “I hail from Film fraternity that doesn’t belong to a caste, community or a religion. I stayed in Chennai before shifting to Hyderabad and even there I did not face such shallow thinking people. I am really ashamed with what Nara Lokesh said and to call him an IT Minister, I feel ashamed. I am happy that I get love and respect from Telangana people and Andhra Pradesh people too.
“I bow down to Telangana people because they don’t have such shallow mindset as the Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu sir, Awards are a Government decision and not private property for people to act like they own them. You should be ashamed of people on your award panel and also, the way you spoke.”
He disowned his Nandi Award and even targetted few other directors mainly Boyapati Srinu for his B.N. Reddy Award. He said, “People who make commercial and that to mediocre commercial movies are getting awards that have a stature. B.N Reddy is a guru for all Telugu Cinema makers and if such people receive awards on his name then it is a shame to the great Legend. I strongly condemn and just compare their movies with someone like Mutthyala Subbaiah, whose Kalikalam even made K. Viswanath shed tears. That is the kind of social responsible films we expect the awards for but not these mediocre commercial filmmakers.”
He found support from Bunny Vas, the producer, who posted on his Facebook page,
” @posani garu
Sir….u r 100% eligible to receive award …..
We born in AP ..we grown in AP not in US….we studied in AP not in US …..our accent is AP …… no need to prove that we belongs to AP…”
Well, the controversy seems to be getting murkier as the days progress. When will and how will, this controversy stop is a big mystery now!
