Actress Poorna has made a name for herself with ghost comedies and roles in her career. She did portray middle class girl roles in the films like Seema Tapakayi and Jayammu Nischammu Ra but as she attained more fame with ghost roles, she had to choose from the roles she is being offered hence, she is part of many ghost films. Now, the actress is coming with her next film, Rakshasi and the actress is busy meeting media for promotions. The actress talked about her career progress and choice of roles.

The actress said, “ I and Harshavardhan knew nothing prior to the shooting of Avunu and we did not expect the movie to be a horror flick. We never knew what our next scene was and until we saw director Ravi Babu as Captain Raju, we did not know he is playing the role. The movie became a big success unexpectedly and people started asking me for more ghost films. I do want to act in different roles but the stereotyping is evident and many try to ask me for ghost roles mostly.

“I’m glad that I found name in the Industry but still fear about the ghosts and ghost stories. I want my mother to be beside me always and my father complain the most about it. As I am not into controlling the food intake and got for GYM, I prefer to keep a body frame. Many liked me in Seema Tapaki but did talk about my body structure more than my performance. And as per their comments and body shaming, I thought I should accept those roles that don’t need me to look in certain shape and hence I am happy with that as it lead me somewhere.”
