Pooja Hegde, turned a new leaf in her small career with Duvvada Jagannadam. After traditional Gopikamma in Mukunda and strict Laila, for Oka Laila Kosam, the actress tried a bold NRI character in the movie DJ. She acted with Allu Arjun and praised the actor saying, “He is the most jovial person on sets and there will never be a dull moment with him on the sets. He made me realise how to dance in front of camera without showing much effort and also gave me several tips that will help me further.”
The actress said she got many offers from Telugu but she was caught up with Mohenjo-Daro and could not allot the dates for any other production. The actress said, “I always wanted to continue working in Telugu films and wanted to get one chance to show off my other side as well. When Harish came to me with the script I asked about my character and he said you will be bold NRI in the film. I immediately accepted as I wanted to work with Allu Arjun as well.”
Pooja claimed that she is receiving many phone calls about how glamorous and different she is looking in the movie and she wants to be known as someone with a varied characters and films on resume rather than being one dimensional actress. The actress explained, “ Any actress will have long life only when we try out different things and I’m glad that I found such a subject early in my career. With so many compliments, I’m positive that people will accept me in traditional and modern roles as well, further!”
