Many Indian actresses have been a part of the Cannes film festival throughout history, with Aishwarya Rai being a regular at the event. Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan and several others have been to this prestigious film festival, which is held every year in France.
This year, Pooja Hegde is about to make her Cannes debut, making her the first South Indian actress and the first pan-Indian actress to be a part of the festival. She would be flying to France on the 16th of May and attending the festival on the 17th and 18th of May, where she would be attending various events. Sources close to Pooja say that she’s delighted and honoured to have been invited to be a part of the festival.
On the work front, Pooja is currently busy with Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and is also a part of Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. She will also join Mahesh on his film with director Trivikram Srinivas.
