It was said that Mrinalini Ravi will be reprising Lakshmi Menon’s role in the Telugu remake of Jigarthanda. But as per the latest updates, reportedly, Pooja Hegde is going to replace Mrinalini in this role. Looks like the makers are looking for some craze and market of the actresses instead of roping in new talent into the industry here. Mrinlaini is popular as a Tik Tok sensation and if it is true the makers are looking only for popular faces, no wonder why Mrinalini would have lost the role. This remake project is titled Valmiki and Varun Tej and Atharva in lead roles and is being directed by Harish Shankar. The project has gone on floors and Varun Tej is sporting a new look with a long beard and hair for the rustic character he will be seen playing in this film.
