Pooja Hegde happy to be back in Telugu!

Pooja Hedge, the tall Kannada beauty debuted in films with the movie, Mukunda. She impressed one another with her looks in the film. She got a chance to act with Naga Chaitanya in Oka Laila Kosam. Both the movies have ended up being averages at box office. All of a sudden she got an audition call from Ashutosh Gowariker for Mohenjo-Daro opposite Hrithik Roshan. She was selected after director her fairness cream commercial.

She spent more than 2 years shooting for the movie and in the mean time did not accept any other movie in Telugu, Tamil or Kannada. After the movie release, she got a call from Harish Shankar for his movie with Allu Arjun, Duvvada Jagannadham produced by Dil Raju. She met the correspondent of a english news daily and shared about her experience and new movie.

Pooja said that she would wish to work in successful movies, but the result is not her in hands. As a debutant she was worried about her performance in the movie and how people in bollywood would receive her. She expressed her satisfaction regarding the praises she received and hoped she can give a success.

Coming to Duvvada Jagannadham, she said that while she was shooting for Mohenjo-Daro, many of her fans requested to act in Telugu and then, she realised that she should work in Telugu for her fans. When she was looking for her next after, Mohenjo-Daro, Harish Shankar reached her and she was happy to accept the offer. She further stated that she always wished to work with Allu Arjun and hoped that, she will be able to show her dance skills with him in the film. She said that the movie will be a light hearted ‘Happy Film’ right for her after a mega budget heavy periodic film like Mohenjo-Daro.
