Sai Dharam Tej’s accident near the Ikea store has become a major sensation in the Telugu states, with the CCTV footage of the accident becoming viral on the internet, and everyone concerned for the actor’s health, who fell unconscious due to the accident.
Sai Dharam Tej is currently said to be in a stable position, receiving treatment in the ICU. The Police department, in a recent statement, while wishing for the speedy recovery of Sai Dharam Tej, said that he was driving beyond the permissible limits at the location. The Police said that the limit was 30 – 40 KMPH and that the actor was driving at a speed of 70 KMPH, which was the main reason for the accident.
The police also found that the actor was driving beyond 100 KMPH near the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge, and a case under sections 336 and 279 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act was registered against him at the Raidurgam police station of Cyberabad police commissionerate. The permissible maximum speed limits in the city are prescribed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) engineers as per Section 112 of the Motor Vehicles Act based on the traffic situation, urbanisation, public safety, etc.
