Police Company: RGV To Tell Daya Nayak’s Untold Story

Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is returning to the crime genre with Police Company, starring Harshvardhan Rane. Backed by T-Series and the film is based on former Mumbai encounter specialist Daya Nayak.

It will show his journey from a small village in Mangalore to becoming a well-known Mumbai Police officer. The story will focus on his long career and operations against the Mumbai underworld.

The film is reportedly a passion project for Varma, who has wanted to make Nayak’s biopic for years.

Pre-production is already underway, and shooting is expected to begin in the third week of August.

Police Company is being presented as part of Varma’s Company franchise, but it will have no connection with the earlier films. Harshvardhan Rane will play Daya Nayak in this full-fledged biopic.
