Piyush is not only a talented actor but also a singer, lyricist, composer, and screenwriter. Shamshera is his most recent release as a dialogue writer and lyricist for the song Hunkara. Piyush is back with another film, Kanjoos Makhichoos, and has stated that he only agreed to it because he liked the role. A tired-looking Piyush said in a candid interview after wrapping up a night shoot that he tries to work at his own pace and comfort, with patience. He claims that he only takes on roles distinct from one another.
Piyush plays the father of Kunal Kemmu’s character Jamuna Prasad Pandey in Kanjoos Makhichoos, a hardened miser whose frugal ways give his family members a headache. The plot revolves around Jamuna Prasad’s decision to confront the system after he becomes eligible for compensation instead of his missing parents. Still, corruption prevents him from receiving the total amount.
Working on the film was “hectic,” according to Piyush, because it was shot on a tight schedule, and the outdoor shoot occurred in Haridwar. “There are so many formalities in taking a compensation that a person says it’s okay even if I don’t get it,” Piyush agrees with the film’s subject. So kadiya paar karte karte uski dum nikal jati hai? (there are so many steps that the person collapses during the process). They believe that it is better to get only some things.
