A couple of days back we have witnessed the history as King Charles III was crowned in Westminster Abbey. The event represents a symbolic union of the state, church, and royal family. The nation throws a huge party for the monarch to mark this historic occasion. To create a spectacle that would go down in history, many entertainers from all over the world descended upon London. Sonam Kapoor, a Bollywood actress, arrived at the event, which was one of the occasion’s most welcome shocks. We were thrilled as she entered the stage for her spoken introduction, but it was not the only thing that had us giddy. We were quite interested to see what she dressed to this historic event because she is a fashionista in the broadest sense. She was spotted donning an elaborate outfit. Sonam Kapoor frequently wears Anamika Khanna and Emilia Wickstead clothing, so choosing them for this momentous occasion was a no-brainer. Of course, it is impossible to wear both at once. Maybe she can? Certainly, if you’re Sonam Kapoor, it’s feasible.
Together with Emilia Wickstead, Anamika Khanna created a dress that incorporated the latter’s silhouette with the former’s floral design aesthetic. Sonam Kapoor, who is steeped in tradition, made sure to place India on the map of the world and she definitely did. Even though Sonam Kapoor spends most of her time in London, she is as Indian as can be. The blue, green, and red floral patterns by Anamika Khanna that were cascading down were clearly visible. When Sonam Kapoor comes on stage, it’s difficult to look away from her because of the ivory gown with the voluminously sculpted skirt and the attractive bodice. What the indicative memo was is obvious. Sonam Kapoor made care to leave no detail untouched when it came to hair and cosmetics. To prevent the erratic London weather from ruining her big fashion moment, her extravagant gown was complimented with soft browns for the eyes, blush pinks for the cheek and lip, and a flawless even complexion. Her hair was fashioned in soft waves.
On the work front, Sonam will be next seen in the remake of a Korean film Blind. The film will directly release on OTT sometime in 2023 itself.
