In a recent interview, Madhoo explained why leaving the industry and ceasing all communication is not something she is proud of.
Madhoo made her Bollywood debut with the movie Phool Aur Kaante, but after Roja became a smashing blockbuster, she became an overnight sensation. The actress, however, made the decision to leave show business after a few years and go back to her everyday life. She now voiced her regret and that she was not proud of her choice to retain no contact with her co-stars.
The actress’s career included a wide range of languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The actress had been busy with her regular life after leaving the industry, which the uninitiated may have assumed. However, she understood she was not a homemaker after five years.
In a recent interview she said, “I was out of touch with them for 10-12 years because when I decided to exit the film industry, I decided that I didn’t want any contact with the industry guys. I don’t know why. I am not proud of that decision. I was like, ‘I am done. I need to get out of the industry,’ and that’s how I exited and so I was not in touch.”
, “But today, all of them are back in my zone. I just partied with Raveena and Shilpa. We get together at functions and events. We are all grown up, we are all married and we all have children. I am not in a good space with my heroes.”
Years after abandoning the business, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Menaka in the movie Shaakuntalam marked Madhoo’s comeback to the big screen.
