Phanindra Narsetti Faces Backlash Ahead Of 8 Vasantalu Release

Along with Sekhar Kammula’s Kuberaa, the romantic drama 8 Vasantalu is also releasing on June 20th. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is being promoted actively.

However, the movie’s director, Phanindra Narsetti is trending for the wrong reasons. In recent interviews, Phanindra made controversial comments that went viral and triggered trolling online.

Known for his first film Manu, which failed at the box office and was criticized for its slow pace, Phanindra is returning after seven years. But his remarks about film critics caused a stir.

He questioned, ‘How can people comment on Mani Ratnam’s films? What are their qualifications?’ This led to netizens mocking him as ‘Arhata Star’ (Eligibility Star).

At the pre-release event, Phanindra said if he chose to make commercial movies instead of writing thoughtful content, his job would be easier.

He even said 8 Vasantalu has an action episode to show his range. Still, trolls continue, and now all eyes are on the film’s result.
