Telugu Petta producers Ashok Vallabhaneni and Prasanna Kumar decided to blame the big distributors and exhibitors who are also producers for the lack of theatres. Prasanna Kumar even warned them, indirectly, saying that NTR biopic and Petta will only be hits.
The reaction from the top distributors has been even harsh it seems. While they tried to give some space for the movie, with the hurting words, they decided to not encourage the dub film throughout the week.
Mainly, Prasanna Kumar targeted VVR and F2, so both the films’ producers and distributors decided to not leave any space for Petta as they did try to be lenient and let the big dub movie also get space in big Telugu Sankranthi.
They did ask the producers to tell them if they can secure a release for Telugu films amidst busy Tamil Pongal in Tamil Nadu in short notice, it seems. Well, anyways when three Telugu biggies have booked the theatres before, the producers should have planned the movie release earlier than just two weeks before.
