The ticket pricing issue in the state of Andhra Pradesh is worrying the filmmakers, distributors and exhibitors across the state as with the prices fixed by the government, the parties involved in the movie business will not even be able to meet the theatre expenses.
Already the makers of big-budget films like RRR and Radhe Shyam have announced that the pan-India films will be hitting the screens on January 7th and 14th respectively. Meanwhile, talking about the ticket pricing issue, the state cinematography minister Perni Nani said none of the industry bigwigs tried to approach him or the chief minister regarding the same issue. Nani also made it clear that there will not be any special relaxations for the upcoming biggies such as RRR and Radhe Shyam and the distributors and exhibitors should follow the government fixed guidelines and run the theatres.
As per the inside reports, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna are planning to approach Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and discuss with him the ticket prices issue. Will the government at least consider the film industry requirements? Remains to be seen.
