Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi is a rural sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and is scheduled to release in theatres on June 4th 2026.
Cinematographer Rathnavelu recently shared details about Janhvi’s character.
She will be seen as Achiyyamma, the daughter of an MLA played by Rao Ramesh. Her role is said to be important to the story.
The film also has a strong supporting cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma and Boman Irani.
Music is composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is being made on a large scale as a pan-Indian project and is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas.
