A few days ago, a touching video of veteran actress K Vasuki known for her role as Paakija, surfaced online.
In the video, she tearfully appealed to AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for help sharing her struggles with financial hardship. The video quickly gained attention and reached Pawan Kalyan who responded with compassion.
On Tuesday at the Janasena Party office in Mangalagiri, Government Whip P. Hariprasad and MLA Giddi Satyanarayana handed over Rs. 2 lakh to Vasuki on behalf of Pawan.
Overwhelmed with emotion Vasuki broke down in tears and thanked him for the timely support. Vasuki began her film journey in 1987 with a Tamil film and made her Telugu debut in Assembly Rowdy with Mohan Babu.
Though she acted in many films she eventually faded from the spotlight. Now there’s hope that the Tamil Nadu government and film industry will also step in to support her.
