Pavala Syamala, who has played many memorable roles in Telugu cinema is facing a very difficult phase in her old age. She has no film offers now and her financial condition has become very weak.
Earlier, a few top actors and celebrities helped her and with their support she managed for some months. But her health problems and money issues worsened again, and in deep distress, she even attempted suicide.
The Movie Artists Association which is responsible for supporting artists in need, did not step in to help her during this tough time. Even after months of struggle, she received no proper support from them.
When the RK Foundation learned about her situation, they immediately helped her get admitted to a healthcare centre.
This is the general talk that MAA is active when it comes to collecting fees, but not when artists struggle. They should truly take responsibility and help actors instead of making empty promises.
