Released on January 25th, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s dark action thriller, Pathaan had a dream run at the worldwide box office. This Siddharth Anand directional smashed all the existing Bollywood box office records and creating new benchmarks in all domestic and overseas territories.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that marking the historic success of Pathaan, the film’s production house Yash Raj Films has decided to organise #PathaanDay on February 17th. Reportedly, the makers will be keeping flat Rs 110 as the ticket price for the film across all Indian multiplex chains. The ticket price in leading multiplex chains like PVR, Inox and Cinepolis will be Rs 110 on the coming Friday.
An official announcement regarding the same came out this morning from the team. Even after twenty days post the release, Pathaan is still performing decently in the domestic circuits. At the overseas box office, Pathaan crossed $16 in the North America. In other key markets like Australia, Germany, the UK, UAE, and Newzealand, Pathaan emerged as the all-time highest grosser among straight Hindi films, say reports.
Co-starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia in prominent roles, Pathaan also has Salman Khan in a key cameo. Pathaan is part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe.
