Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s dark action thriller, Pathaan is smashing all the existing records left and right. Reportedly, this Siddharth Anand directional Rs 335 crore gross by the end of its 5-day extended weekend at the Indian box office. Along with Hindi, the film had a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil versions as well is widely known.
At the overseas box office, Pathaan clocked close to $10 million during the first weekend itself. The North American and other foreign circuits collection for the extended weekend is said to be a whopping Rs 207 crore. Including the domestic and overseas, Pathaan collected a massive gross of Rs 542 crore, say trade reports.
The early trend indicates that the film is eyeing at Rs 25 crore (nett ) on the first Monday in India. If the same momentum continues, Pathaan will emerge as an all-time top-grosser in no time, predict trade experts. Co-starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia in prominent roles, Pathaan also has Salman Khan in a key cameo. Pathaan is part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe.
