On December 25, 2025, eight Telugu films released together. Among them was the small film Patang, which went unnoticed initially due to newcomers and limited promotions. The big question is whether this small film managed to impress audiences and turn into a success.

Patang Story: Whisky and Arun are childhood best friends whose bond is tested when Aishwarya enters their lives. A kite-flying contest decides the outcome of this triangle love story. Patang has a simple story, made interesting by its characters and conflicts.

Performances: Preethi Pagadala surprises everyone with a confident performance, portraying love and confusion in a great way. Vamsi Pujit shows natural ease, blending innocence, emotion, and good timing. Pranav Kaushik impresses with strong screen presence, relatable acting, and neat dance moves, with his chemistry with Vamsi working well.

Supporting roles by S. P. Charan, Vadlamani Srinivas, and Vishika add fun. The friends comedy, Vignani’s cute role, and Gautham Vasudev Menon’s guest appearance add solid entertainment.

Technical Aspects: Music director Jose Jimmy and cinematographer Shakthi Arvind stand out as the film’s major strengths. Jose Jimmy delivers varied songs with good lyrics, while the background score and bit songs are engaging. Shakthi Arvind’s realistic visuals and careful coloring enhance the cinematic feel.

Director Praneeth Prathipati handles a simple story entertainingly, smartly, using the kite as a key element. His depiction of youth confusion, clean humor, and satisfying ending make Patang a successful effort for him.
