On Thursday night, Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi was killed after a violent fight in Delhi’s Jangpura area, reportedly over a minor parking dispute.
The incident happened around 10:30 to 11:00 PM in Bhogal Market Lane when Asif asked his neighbour to move a scooter blocking his gate. The request turned into a heated argument.
During the fight, Ujjwal (19), the neighbour attacked Asif with a sharp object and another young man, Gautam (18), joined in. CCTV footage shows the two men dragging and attacking Asif. He was taken to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police said Asif had previous conflicts with the accused. His wife claimed the attack was planned.
The Hazrat Nizamuddin police registered a murder case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and arrested both accused. The investigation is ongoing to find out if others were involved.
