Papanasam 2: Noted actress to pair opposite Kamal Haasan?

A few days back we had reported that Kollywood actor Kamal Haasan has accepted to act in the sequel of his 2015 film, Papanasam. The film is an official remake of Malayalam star Mohanlal’s earlier this year released Drishyam 2.

News also came out that actress Meena, who did the female lead role in Drishyam 2 is under consideration for the same role in the Tamil version also. But the latest buzz among media circles is that noted actress Nadiya is under consideration for the female lead opposite Kamal Haasan in the sequel. In Papanasam, Kamal acted with his partner Gautami but in 2016 they parted ways due to reasons better known to them and it is the main reason for the change of female lead lady in the sequel.

Jeethu Joseph, who helmed the Malayalam and Telugu versions of Drishyam 2 will be directing the Tamil version also.
