Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s romantic comedy-drama, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had a theatrical release yesterday as a Holi festival special. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film was opened to positive word of mouth from critics.
Almost every Bollywood website and print media platforms gave not less than a four-star rating for the film. As per the reports, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar witnessed an opening of close to Rs 14 crore gross on its first day. Despite positive reviews, the film is underperforming due to reasons unknown.
On the other hand, a section of netizens on social media platforms are openly commenting that the makers are after paid reviews to make the audience fools. As a ground reality, the word of mouth from the general audience for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is decent to okay but not as exaggerated by the Bollywood media. However, we have to wait and see till this weekend to know the fate of the film at the ticket windows.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, this Luv Ranjan directional also stars Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in key roles. Coming to Ranbir Kapoor, he scored a decent hit with the last year released Brahmastra and is currently working on a project titled, Animal under the direction of Arjun Reddy fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
