Padma Kasturirangan, who has recently been in the news for creating the phenomenal hit The Rana Daggubati Show, which premiered on Prime Video, continues to make waves in the industry.
She joined the OTT giant two years ago in 2022 and has since had numerous amazing opportunities to collaborate with some of the most influential talents and creators, building a riveting Telugu content slate.
After completing her film course at New York University, the talented Padma began her media career in Hyderabad at Annapurna Film School, where she worked as a production manager and faculty member. She later moved to Tamada Media, where she headed the long-form wing and was responsible for creating several acclaimed IPs and regional content.
Before joining Amazon Prime Video, Padma had a short stint at Zee5, heading the Telugu originals slate. Currently, at Prime Video, she has developed an impressive slate of movies and shows that are set to launch soon on the platform.
Taking to LinkedIn, Padma shared her excitement about being promoted and wrote: “With a super thrilling line-up planned for the near future, I look forward to scaling up our Originals program in Tamil and Telugu, bringing bar-raising stories to engage and delight our audiences in this expanded role.”
She added: “Nurturing new markets and building a diverse, wholesome content slate has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey at Prime Video. Given her track record of crafting compelling and engaging stories, fans and movie lovers can certainly expect much more from Prime Video and Padma in the near future.
