OU students disrupt Hyderabad Censor Office!

Censor board in India has become a big joke with its latest rules and regulations. Cutting out the kissing scenes, even those that were aesthetically shot and objectioning to even normal cuss words that are part of daily vocabulary. Looking at all this several intelligentsia of Film Fraternity demanded the Indian Government to revoke the old Cinematography law and put in a new certification board. As the Censor in India, is only to deliver a certification but not have right to impose ban some acts of the recently came into power officers were severely condemned as well. Several films that were attempting to go for U/A certification also requested to present them with an A, due to some ridiculous objections.

Even while giving an A, the censor board recommended cuts to several scenes that are normally considered allowable in the society. With this kind of behaviour reaching peak stage, Osmania University students decided to stage a protest and took the things into their hands. They went in the office to protest against the decision of the censors to not clear the movie, Sharanam Gatcchyami. This movie was said to have portrayed several communities in bad light and OU student wing belonging to the community that the director made the film, created the ruckus in the office. The further action is still awaited.
