Filmmaking is a passionate art form that includes recognition and money as basic fruits for being successful. It is also seen as a great platform to give out a relevant message and earn International, National recognition announcing one’s talent to each and everyone! Telugu Film had been blessed with actors like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, SV Ranga Rao, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, Savitri, Nagayya, Shantakumari, Jamuna who won accolades Nationally and Internationally for their performances and also earned lifetime name for themselves.
Unfortunately, after their era, Film Industry took a nose dive into making more and more commercially viable films with new producers and actors looking at it as a market rather an art. Even though art should be said as alive in some format or other, it completely became craft of some brilliant minds who understood audience but did not give any memorable artistic cinema. There were few sparks here and there by K Vishwanath but that was not enough to inspire a generation!
As they always, there is light at the end of the darkest tunnel, Dulam Satyanarayana, the young filmmaker who won prestigious US scholarship and made documentaries that fetched him awards and rewards at Film Festival circuits, is now planning a full fledged feature based on Athadu Adavi ni Jayinchadu novel. He has two producers who support his vision and he is quite confident that the material is off International level and quite worthy of an Oscar. Several International Technicians are working on the project it seems.
