Opinion: Should Megastar stick to Godfather formula?

The first look of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, Godfather, was released yesterday and was met with a unanimously positive response. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer and is directed by Tamil director Mohan Raja.

The highlight of the poster was Chiranjeevi’s salt and pepper look, which is the first of its kind for the actor. The actor looked age appropriate and royal in the look, unlike the way he looked in any of his other movies that came out recently. The looks also felt like a breath of fresh air for all audiences, who have been wanting to see the actor in movies that well suited his age.

As a result, it is being opined by many that this is probably one formula that he should stick to, in the years to come. Not just Chiru, but all of his contemporaries. NTR and ANR too shed their mass hero images at a certain point in their careers and opted for more age appropriate roles, which is something that the audience wants to see from Chiru and his contemporaries.
