Shot to pan-India stardom with SS Rajamouli’s visual wonder Baahubali series, hero Prabhas has been signing back-to-back massive projects. After Baahubali, two films in the form of Saaho and Radhe Shyam of Prabhas had a theatrical release.
As a major disappointment, both films were bombed at the box office. Though Prabhas’ home banners UV Creations and Gopikrishna Movies bankrolled Saaho and Radhe Shyam, the making process happened completely under the control of Bollywood filmmaker Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.
Even Prabhas’ upcoming mythological drama, Adipurush under the direction of Om Raut is bankrolled by the T-Series banner. After the film’s first look teaser is out a few weeks back, it became troll stuff on social media. Even the film’s theatrical release which is planned during the Sankranthi season is now going to postpone.
Instead above projects, Prabhas forthcoming films such as Saalar and Project K are carrying good buzz among moviegoers. It is widely known that South directors Prashanth Neel and Nag Ashwin are directing Saalar and Project K respectively.
Not only the general audience but even Prabhas fans are requesting their matinee idol to focus on original South content. Will Prabhas consider his fans’ request? Remains to be seen.
