The money that went into the making of Oopiri’s Telugu and Tamil version budget is said to be a whopping Rs 50 crores — making it the most expensive movie till date in Nagarjuna’s career. Since, the film is a bilingual; the makers have spent such high budget.
Nagarjuna’s last movie Soggade Chinni Nayana was the highest grosser of the actor’s career as it made around Rs 50 crore in shares worldwide. So hopes are high that Oopiri starring biggies like Karthi and Tamannah will rake in a lot of money.
The Tamil version of the flick, Thozha, is also set to make a lot of money with the kind of starcast the movie has. Trade pundits are upbeat about the film’s box office success given the tight script, interesting storyline and the superb performance that one saw in the teaser. Produced by Prasad V Potluri and directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Oopiri, that is up for release on march 25, is slated to be a funny but emotional film.
