Tollywood was in full swing when the first wave of coronavirus put the entire Telugu Film Industry in a state of pause for several months. The first wave was especially confusing for the industry, given that no one had any idea when or if things would ever get back to normal. Tollywood shootings were finally underway once again towards the end of 2020, with big films back in action once again, along with small films.
While 2021 started off with a great promise, with theatres reopening, towards the second week of April, things once against started to turn grim, with the second ave of coronavirus. As a result, Tollywood was once again put in a state of pause for nearly 2 months. Now, slowly, small and big films are getting back into action.
The second wave of coronavirus crept in suddenly, with several actors testing positive for the virus, and several crew members testing positive as well. Every film set is now said to be taking more care than before, in making sure that no one tests positive for coronavirus anymore, and that everyone is safe. With the exception of Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, every other big film has gone back to sets.
