Films are the stories written by literary enthusiasts who wanted to be a part of the dreamy world of colors, that is, films. Many moons ago the most successful films used to be adapted as novels and they were treated as praised positions by many film enthusiasts. Mullapudi Venkataramana, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao and Ramchand were some of the writers who successfully adapted the film scripts to novels without losing the sheen of the art of film.
If you dig into the past many films like Mayabazaar, Iddaru Mithrulu, Bharya Bhartalu, Thodi Kodallu were adapted into famous novels. Even director Vamsi, got his first break as a director with his novel about the movie, Shankarabharanam before adapting another novel on screen as Manchu Pallaki with Chiranjeevi and Suhasini in the lead roles. It used to be norm that the producers used to tie up with several famous publications to bring a novel adaptation of the film script and written by a gem of a writer, Mullapudi Venkataramana, the novels used to be more successful than the film itself.
Now, with Ghazi coming out as a novel first and then being adapted to screen, many other makers are also thinking about saying their stories in the form of novels. Bahubali makers have already roped a famous writer like Anand Neelakantan to write prelude series to the film, Bahubali the Beginning as Bahubali before the beginning. The three part series has already released the first book, Rise of Sivagami based the life story of Queen, Sivagami before her rise to power. Another film, Temper is also being brought as a novel as the writer of the story of the movie, Vakkantam Vamsi penned a English novel based the core point of the script. The story will be different from the original and will have a different ending also as per the writer. Soon Vakkantam Vamsi, will announce further details about the release of the book.
