After viewing the “OMG 2” trailer a few days ago, Sadhguru lauded the Akshay Kumar blockbuster and emphasised the need to “educate young people.”Sadhguru, a spiritual teacher, has at last responded to Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 by stating that he opposes the movie receiving a certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) designating it as an A (Adult Only) film. This comes a few days after the Bollywood star hosted a private screening of his next film at the Coimbatore Isha Yoga Centre.
OMG 2 has received appreciation from Sadhguru, who also emphasised the need to “educate young people on how to handle their bodily needs.” Following the viewing of the movie, Sadhguru stated that children between the ages of 10 and 19 should also be permitted to watch the movie.
Taking to his Twitter account, Sadhguru wrote, “‘A’ Certificate in this case should include Adolescents. That’s where it matters most. Education about understanding human biology and responding to the biological needs of an individual in a dignified and responsible way is very needed to build a Nation that is Fair & Just to all involved. -Sg #OMG2 (sic).”
Akshay Kumar also thanked Sadhguru in his answer to the tweet, writing, “Thank you so much @SadhguruJV. I hope the message is received well and in the proper manner.
For the uninitiated, the CBFC granted the Amit Rai directed movie a “A – Adults Only” certificate and requested that 27 changes be made to the movie before its release. The portrayal of Lord Shiva, who had previously been represented by Akshay Kumar, was one of the main problems with the satirical comedy-drama OMG 2. However, the actor is now portrayed as a follower and representative of God. It’s interesting that this is the first Akshay Kumar movie in 12 years to receive an adults-only rating.
OMG 2 will be released on August 11 and also stars Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil from the Ramayan movie franchise. The movie is a follow-up to the popular 2012 film “OMG- Oh My God.”
While Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ has got an ‘A’ certificate in India, UAE has issued a 12A certificate to the film – deets insidehttps://t.co/DJoyz2hqpb
