Om Raut: Adipurush is more than what it seems

Young Rebel Star Prabhas is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming giflm, Radhe Shyam, which is an epic love story, and his next film is a completely different subject. Marking his Bollywood debut, Prabhas would next be seen in Adipurush, directed by Om Raut. The film is made on a budget of 400 crores, and the shooting wrapped up last year, with the film sshceudled to be released this year.

Speaking to the media recently, director Om Raut said that Adipurush is not Ramayana itself, but is an adaptation of the epic, where Prabhas would be seen as Raghava, while Kriti Sanon would be seen as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan would be seen as Lankesh. He also said that the film is set 7000 years in the past, and that he got the idea to do the film when he saw the Japanese film ‘The Prince of Light’, in 2000.

On the other hand, Prabhas is currently busy shooting for Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin, and Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel. He also has a=okayed Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, which will be his 25th film, and he is also in talks with director Maruthi for a quick film.
