After the blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, Aishwarya Rajesh returned to Telugu cinema with the romantic comedy Oh..! Sukumari, starring Thiruveer. Released this Friday, the film raises one big question that, did Aishwarya delivered another hit? Here’s our review.

Oh..! Sukumari Story: Damini (Aishwarya Rajesh) has a rare condition that gives people an electric shock when they touch her. Yadagiri (Thiruveer), who dreams of becoming the village sarpanch, falls in love with her and marries her without knowing the truth. On their wedding night, he discovers her condition and asks her to leave.

Why does he do that? What caused Damini’s strange problem? How does she change Yadagiri’s family with her kindness, and do the villagers finally accept her? The rest of the story reveals the answers.

Performances: Aishwarya Rajesh is the biggest strength of Oh..! Sukumari and delivers a solid performance as Damini, handling comedy and emotional scenes well. Thiruveer impresses with his natural acting as Yadagiri, especially in the humorous moments.

However, the comedy track featuring Jhansi and Muralidhar Goud fails to entertain. Anji mama’s Magadheera dialogues offer a few laughs. Despite a decent supporting cast, weak writing prevents most characters from making a strong impact.

Technical Aspects: The idea of a woman giving people an electric shock when touched is fresh, but the execution falls flat. Director Bharat Darshan fails to make the concept engaging. Bharath Manchiraju delivers good music, but weak storytelling limits its impact.

The cinematography and production values are average. Though the film has a runtime of just 2 hours and 17 minutes, its slow narration makes it feel much longer, affecting the overall viewing experience.

Analysis: Oh..! Sukumari begins with an interesting idea. The story is engaging until the hero learns about the heroine’s condition, but it loses direction afterward. The focus shifts to elections and family property issues, making the narration confusing. Several scenes feel illogical, and the emotional moments fail to connect.

The flashback explaining Damini’s condition is underwhelming, while the lead pair’s chemistry is weak. Despite sincere performances from Aishwarya Rajesh and Thiruveer, weak writing and poor execution prevent the film from making an impact.

Verdict: Oh..! Sukumari has an interesting concept and good performances from Aishwarya Rajesh and Thiruveer, but weak writing, a confusing screenplay, and poor execution make it a below-average entertainer.

Bottom Line: Fresh concept buried under weak storytelling.
