There have been several reports and speculations regarding the involvement of Vijay Sethupathi in Pushpa: The Rule, the sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise. Initially, Vijay Sethupathi was offered a prominent role in the original, but it didn’t work out for several reasons. The actor was said to have been approached for another prominent role in the second part by the makers.
It was being said that Vijay had agreed to be a part of the film, but an official confirmation has now come out, saying that Vijay Sethupathi is not a part of Pushpa 2. Sources close to the Tamil actor confirmed that he would be seen playing the lead antagonist only in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan, directed by Atlee and that he hasn’t okayed any other Telugu film.
Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in KRK, and his only Telugu film remains to be Uppena to date. On the other hand, the shooting for Pushpa 2 is expected to begin in September.
