Official Statement Clears Air On Maruthi’s Plans

After the disappointing box office result of The Raja Saab there were strong rumours that director Maruthi would return to making small-budget comedy films.

Many reports and social media posts claimed that he was planning to step away from big budget projects and focus only on modest entertainers. These rumours gained attention after The Raja Saab failed to perform during the Sankranthi season.

However Team Maruthi has now issued an official statement denying these claims. The team clarified that the news about Maruthi next project is false and misleading and said that updates will be shared only through official channels.

Maruthi is known for popular film Prema Katha Chitram. Despite earlier setbacks like Pakka Commercial, Prabhas trusted him with The Raja Saab.

Unfortunately, the film became the first major box office failure of 2026.
