Official: AP grants special permissions for RRR

The Andhra Pradesh government very infamously didn’t stand by its word to grant special permissions for Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam, which badly affected the film’s revenue in AP. As a result, everyone started to think that the AP government would do the same with Rajamouli’s RRR, which is about to be released on March 25th. While Rajamouli and the producer of RRR, DVV Danayya, went to meet with the AP CM recently, no one expected anything to happen.

Despite popular beliefs though, the AP government released a GO today, officially granting special permission to RRR, letting the theatres increase the prices by Rs. 75 per ticket. However, this is only for a period of ten days from the release of the film. Post that, theatres would have to go back to selling tickets at original prices itself.

On the other hand, RRR features NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, who will be seen playing Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju respectively. RRR has been made on a massive budget, on a pan-Indian scale, and has huge expectations on it.
