Srikanth’s new courtroom drama web series Objection My Lord has premiered on ZEE5. Directed by Santhosh Ayyappan, the series also stars Mukesh Rishi and Ananya Sharma. Here’s our review.
Objection My Lord Story: Parashuram (Srikanth) is a skilled lawyer who quits arguing cases after a painful defeat and works as a notary to support his family. When Narayana dies by suicide outside the court after claiming his daughter Sameera has been kidnapped, Parashuram decides to fight the case.
Facing famous lawyer Vishwanath (Mukesh Rishi), he begins investigating with his assistant Vedha. As they dig deeper, shocking secrets come to light about Sameera’s disappearance, leading to a gripping courtroom battle to uncover the truth and deliver justice.
Performances: Srikanth gives a strong and natural performance as Parashuram, a failed lawyer who fights for justice. He handles the emotional scenes well and carries the series with ease. Mukesh Rishi plays the opposing lawyer and looks convincing, but his character lacks powerful moments.
Ananya Sharma delivers a neat performance as Parashuram’s assistant. The story mainly revolves around Sameera, played by Snehal Kamat, but she appears only in the sixth episode. She performs well in the emotional role. Sameer and Gemini Suresh are convincing as corrupt police officers, though their characters are routine and offer nothing new.
Technical Aspects: Director Santhosh Ayyappan keeps Objection My Lord focused as a courtroom crime thriller without unnecessary side stories. A few twists are engaging, but the suspense loses momentum towards the end. Raj Kumar Akella’s production values are decent, while Arun Chiluveru’s background score, especially the title music, works well. The cinematography is simple and effective.
Analysis: Objection My Lord grabbed attention because of senior actors like Srikanth and Mukesh Rishi, as well as Chiranjeevi’s promotion. The series starts on an interesting note with a suicide outside the court and a missing girl mystery. A few early twists, especially the reveal of Narayana’s address, are engaging.
However, the story loses momentum as it progresses. The courtroom scenes lack exciting face-offs between the hero and the villain, and the investigation becomes repetitive. The emotional impact of the missing girl’s case is also weak. While the writing could have been stronger, Srikanth’s sincere performance makes the series worth watching once.
Verdict: Objection My Lord starts with an interesting premise but loses its grip as the story progresses. The courtroom drama lacks impactful moments, and the investigation feels repetitive. Despite its flaws, Srikanth’s strong performance makes it a decent one-time watch.
