Nushrratt Bharuccha discusses a variety of topics, including the idea of becoming “number one” in the field.
Nushrrat Bharuccha, who made her acting debut in Pyaar Ka Punchnama and acquired notoriety for it, has been cast alongside Bellamkonda Sreenivas in the next pan-Indian movie Chatrapathi. She added that she had recently been exposed to a lot of southern-themed stuff and had become fascinated with the movie industry.
Nushrratt told “It’s not that it was important for me to do this film now but I have been wanting to do something like this. When I watched Baahubali, I was totally engulfed in the world. Their emotions, their conviction, the storytelling, everything seemed so real. Back then I felt I would love to do something like this. And then a Rajamouli and Prabhas remake came my way, I was like, chalo, let’s do it.”
Nushrratt also went on to share her experience working with the director VV Vinayak. She said, “I would have four dialogues in a scene, and he would take just two and tell me to forget about the rest. I would wonder if he edited my lines. And then in another scene, he would come and say take those dialogues now. So you may not know what he is up to, but he is very clear in his mind about what he wants from the actor. He also doesn’t take many takes, which was quite a new experience for me.”
“You are asking about being number one, there are also terms like Top 5 and Top 10,” Nushrratt responded when asked if she thinks it’s worth competing for the top spot. I have no idea what that even means. An actor either matches the role or they don’t. You examine which of these girls performs best. You are unable to visit these top 5 and make a vote there. What if none fit the part? That would be wrong, of course. Sincerely, I don’t want to be on any lists or participate in any races.
Nushrratt thought that a movie’s success was based on more than just the posters but also on solid work. She remarked, “I’ve been informed that you won’t look good on posters. Aap poster pe acche nahi lagoge. Imagine, are they producing films or just advertisements? A movie can never be sold based only on its poster. Therefore, I do hear a lot of these slang terms and dialects, which may be why I enjoy working with new individuals. They are able to kill it by creating Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and Sonu Ki Sweety. I believe that if your work supports you, all of these myths can be dispelled in the end.
Nushrratt, meantime, recently appeared in Tu Jhoothi hai Makkar in a minor role. In addition to Chatrapathi, she is currently working on Akelli and Chorri 2.
