Kantara, the 2022 Kannada hit became a nationwide success with its strong cultural storytelling and modest budget.
Following its popularity the makers began work on Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel starring and directed by Rishab Shetty, set to release on October 2nd. The film was shot extensively in forest locations and took over three years to complete.
Now, exciting speculation is that NTR might join the Kantara Cinematic Universe in its third installment. Though there’s no official confirmation yet, the buzz has caught fans attention.
NTR and Rishab Shetty have a connection through Kundapura, Karnataka and NTR had earlier expressed interest in the franchise.
With NTR also making his Hindi debut in War 2 his entry into Kannada cinema could mark a major step in cross-industry collaborations.
If finalized it would be NTR’s first Kannada project, sparking excitement among fans of both industries.
