Noted heroine joins Akshay Kumar’s next

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is busy with multiple projects in the pipeline. One among them is Raksha Bandhan under the direction of Aanand L Rai. Touted as an emotional drama, the film’s shooting was stalled due to Covid lockdown a couple of months back.

Meanwhile, the latest news is that noted actress Bhumi Pednekar has been roped in as the female lead in the movie. Revealing the same, Akshay Kumar posted the news on his official Twitter handle. As per the sources, the film’s shooting resumed in Mumbai and is aiming for a November release.

Written by Himanshu Sharma, Raksha Bandhan is being bankrolled by Colour Yellow Productions in association with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films banner.
